Technology Services provider in Kalispell is looking for an IT Specialist to join their growing team. This recession proof company is growing so there is ample room for advancement and expanding your skillset. IT Specialist will install, program, maintain and repair servers, switches, virtual machines, and software.
As well as install, program, and maintain Security and Alarm equipment and ensure work is in accordance with relevant codes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
  • Ability to adapt to assess new technologies for implementation. Installation of Network infrastructure including fiber optic, cat6 cable, layer 2, layer 3 devices, and advanced Cisco configurations.
  • In depth knowledge of Windows servers in an enterprise configuration (new install and upgrades), network security, virtualization, server hardware, NAS, SAN and RAID knowledge preferable.
  • Experience working with Cisco Switches to include establishing VLANs and configuring simple to advanced routing.
  • Feed cables through access holes, roof spaces, and cavity walls to reach fixture outlets, then position and terminate cables, wires and strapping.
  • Experience using Group Policy and the Windows Registry to manage/troubleshoot
    computers.
  • Experience using Powershell.
  • Functional knowledge of Linux command line operating systems, or ability learn basic commands.
  • Test backup batteries, keypad programming, sirens, and all security features in order to ensure proper functioning, and to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Keep informed of new products and developments. Request orders for replacement parts.
  • Extensive travel is required for this position, approximately 50% of the year or more. All expenses are paid for or reimbursed by the company.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BS or AS degree in Computer Science and 2-3 years’ experience in systems
administration.
or
3-5 years systems administration experience.
CompTIA Sec+ or other DoD IAT II certification is required within 6 weeks of
employment.
